How to Draw a Mummy Step by Step
Step 1: Draw a Small Circle
For all other drawings, most of the time I begin the tutorial by drawing the body. But here I am starting with its eyes due to the convenience of the artists.
The way I have created each step will help you to draw the mummy easily than other mummy drawing tutorials out there.
However, start the drawing with a medium size circle on the left upper side of the paper. For drawing a mummy, you have to start with its eyes. So, this circle will be a part of mummy eyes.
Step 2: Draw Another Circle
In this step, you have to draw another big size circle. Make sure that the circle doesn’t get that big. It should be little bigger than the previous one.
Follow the reference and draw the circle accordingly. You also need to draw the circle close to the small one as it will be the eyes of mummy.
Step 3: Create the Body Part
Now, you have to create the body part. For drawing the body, draw a big U shape curve just under the eye circles.
Start drawing the U curve under the small circle and end it under the bigger circle. If you follow the reference carefully, you will be able to draw it easily.
Step 4: Draw the Pupil of Eyes
The circle you created for the mummy eyes, now it’s time to complete the eyes. For this, you just need to draw the pupil of the eyes.
So, draw two other circles (one inside each circle) inside the eye section. These circles will be the pupil of mummy’s eyes.
Step 5: Add Details to the Body
Finally, it’s time to wrap your mummy. For this, draw the bandages shape on all over its body. You just need to draw some slanted straight lines inside the body part and bandage shapes will be created automatically. It will genuinely look like the mummy is wrapped with bandages.
Coloring the Mummy Drawing
I have added some color into the drawing rather than keeping it all white like the real mummies. So, I have used light yellow for the body, light pink for the eyes and black for the pupil.
I have used watercolor markers for coloring this beautiful mummy from Egypt! You can use different shades and coloring tools also. But don’t forget to outline the whole drawing.
